| Abstract:Mineral traditional Chinese medicines, as a vital component of traditional medicine, represent an indispensable category within its pharmaceutical system. Due to their dual nature as both mineral resources and medicinal materials, they face multiple challenges in practical application, including resource scarcity and the need for rational utilization. This study employs literature review and field investigation methods. It systematically examines classical herbal texts, statutory standards, policies, regulations, and related literature concerning mineral traditional Chinese medicines, and investigates the trade conditions of mineral traditional Chinese medicines in traditional Chinese medicine markets such as Anguo and Bozhou. The research identifies issues including inconsistent standards, lack of import regulations, resource shortages, and insufficient mechanistic studies. Corresponding policy recommendations are proposed to address these problems. The study aims to provide a basis for formulating a rational-use list for resource-limited mineral traditional Chinese medicines, thereby supporting the high-quality and sustainable development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry. |
